Hunter Adams is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Technical Training Manager to join our Edinburgh based client, on an interim contract (6 months) from September.
About the Role:
In this exciting role, you will play a pivotal role in reviewing, revamping and leading the company’s technical training program. Your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting a holistic review of the current technical training program to assess departmental needs and identify areas for improvement.
- Partnering with HR and department heads to understand competency requirements and align training programs accordingly.
- Oversee the management and development of technical competencies within the team, covered by external providers.
- While external providers deliver technical training, you will be responsible for ensuring its effectiveness and alignment with departmental need
- Liaising with external training providers to ensure alignment with internal training objectives.
- Track and measure the success of training initiatives and identify areas for continuous improvement.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and best practices
You are the ideal candidate if you:
- Possess previous HR experience in a related field, ideally with a blend of operational HR and Learning & Development experience.
- Experience working within a regulated environment (a plus).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in conducting training needs analyses.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
- A passion for learning and development and a commitment to employee success.
Contract:
- This is a 6-month interim contract position based in Edinburgh.
- Flexible on the number of days worked on-site, but require full-time commitment (37.5 hours per week).
