Hunter Adams’ client is looking for an interim Senior HR Advisor to understand the Human Resources requirements and  provide support, advice and expertise to managers and employees, in order to meet business needs.

If you have extensive experience in an HR generalist role and have worked directly with line managers in the provision of a full HR service, then we’d love to hear from you to discuss the following Senior HR Advisor role in further detail.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work in conjunction with leaders and line managers to understand business requirements and determine the most appropriate people solutions.
  • Support, advise and coach line managers in the areas of (but not excluded to): employment policy, practice & employment legislation, managing performance, discipline and grievance, terminations, re-organisations, reward and global mobility.
  • Work in conjunction with leaders and line managers to develop our talent, adopting talent management processes.
  • Talent management & retention – know our people – conduct career talks.
  • Support and implement organisational change.
  • Develop and implement HR policies and procedures in line with legislation and ensure these are understood and applied across the business.
  • Lead and deliver projects where people are at the heart of the project success.
  • Work closely with line managers in the delivery of HR projects e.g. (bonus, salary reviews, headcount budget, graduate recruitment).
  • Work in conjunction with line managers to understand resource requirements for their scope of responsibility, working closely with Talent Acquisition team to source and select talent.  This includes interviewing and relocation support.
  • In conjunction with line managers, monitor absence levels, taking appropriate action where necessary.
  • Work closely with Shared Services team to ensure timely contractual/payroll changes and accurate maintenance of HR data.

The Ideal Candidate:

Possessing a high level of attention to detail and accuracy, the successful candidate will have a strong knowledge of UK employment law and best practice along with the following skills:

  • Microsoft office (Teams, Word, Excel, Powerpoint) to intermediate level
  • Able to work to tight deadlines and responsible for own time management
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills
  • Financial awareness and numerical ability
  • Change management
  • Compliance with HR Policies and Procedures
  • Experience of coaching line managers
  • Degree qualified (preferred)
  • Professionally qualified in Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) (preferred)
