In recognition of International Women’s Day this year (Sunday 8th March), Hunter Adams is celebrating its strong women.
We asked them to tell us, if they could give their younger self one piece of advice – what would it be? This is what they told us.
Candice Thompson, Senior HR Interim and Recruitment Advisor: “Cherish forever what makes you unique.”
Jaye Lockey, HR Coordinator: “Keep being you and never doubt your self-worth.
Pauline Wilson, Business (HR) Manager: “Don’t worry what everyone else is up to, we’re all just making it up as we go along! Be true to yourself and focus on creating your own unique path through life.”
Laura McKen, Business (HR) Advisor: “Little by little, the little things become the big things.”
Emma Fergusson, Business (HR) Advisor: “Don’t worry about what you can’t control, just take one step at a time.”
Nicola Comrie, Senior HR Advisor: “Stop watching so much TV. Read more. Although, young me, you did read an awful lot, so maybe you should get outside and play more.”
Jude Fletcher, HR Interim and Recruitment Advisor: “Always trust your gut instinct – good or bad, it’s usually right.”
Kim Dunn, Team Administrator: “Don’t change yourself so that other people will like you. Be yourself so that the right people will love you.”
Leidah Watts, Client Services Manager: “It’s the little things in life that matter the most. Appreciate what you have. Be grateful.”
Sarah Beaumont, Head of UK HR: “Focus only on the opinions of those you respect. Thank others for theirs and then move on.”
Jennifer Marnoch, Chief Operating Officer: “Never let anyone dull your sparkle.”
Lesley Redley, Marketing Executive: “Don’t wish your life away, just enjoy being young and carefree.”
