We are delighted to be working with The National Trust for Scotland as they are embarking on a journey and understanding about Diversity and Inclusion across their staff, volunteers, properties and sites.

As part of the journey they are looking for someone to join them on an initial 12-month fixed term contract to help develop and roll out a Diversity and Inclusion strategy for their current and future workforce (employees and volunteers)

This exciting new role will have four key components:

  1. You will have a blank sheet to work with from engaging with the current workforce to collate and assess data and use this data to start to inform how a D&I strategy will inform future strategy related to staffing and the people value proposition.
  2. You will engage the workforce in regards all aspects of diversity and inclusion to help create a positive shift in the culture across the organisation.
  3. You will develop and introduce practical initiatives which will be able to demonstrate how the National Trust for Scotland is understanding and becoming a more inclusive employer.
  4. You will help the Leadership team embed Equality, Diversity and Inclusion into the ongoing people strategy.

You will be able to demonstrate the following experience

  1. Experience of devising and delivering workforce Diversity, Inclusion and Equality across a multi-site organisation that has a varied workforce and stakeholders.
  2. You will show deep knowledge of current D&I thinking and how this can be translated into tangible initiatives.
  3. You will have a good understanding of the differing communities within Scotland and how this practically informs the successful rollout of D&I strategy.
  4. You will be used to working with a variety of different stakeholders and leaders and have the confidence and communication to allow them to buy into your vision, strategy and initiatives.
  5. You will be able to engage with a large workforce to help them understand the value of D&I to the workforce and to the organisation.
