Hunter Adams are delighted to supporting our client, The National Trust for Scotland with sourcing a part time, People Enquiries & Advice Consultant to join their busy team.

In this role, you will be the first point of contact for both the employee and volunteer workforce at the trust, offering support and advice on day to day people issues. You will promote the use of self service tools to managers and individuals for day to day enquiries around employee lifecycle issues. When issues need to be escalated you will provide advice to support managers in resolving more complex people issues. You will also be responsible for creating self service tools and training to ensure a smooth and efficient support service across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the development, delivery, and promotion of self-service products and training for both managers and individuals to self-serve to address most day-to-day enquiries relating to people (volunteer + employee) life-cycle
  • Supporting the delivery and development of a first-contact ‘service desk’ for people management enquiries which cannot be resolved through self-service products
  • Logging and analysing incoming queries to identify common issues to help the Lead Consultant shape products and/or inform wider organisational development/effectiveness
  • Delivering specialist advice that enables managers and individuals to resolve more complex employee relation issues
  • Ensuring work undertaken is logged, tracked and reportable on a routine and ad hoc basis, to demonstrate that SLAs are being met for enquiries and support, cases are progressed to appropriate closure, and that development of the People Enquiries & Advice service is continually evolving and improving

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have significant experience working in a multi site organisation with service desk
  • Be a knowledgeable HR Advisor who can advise and support managers on employee relation cases
  • Be confident with HRIS Systems
  • Have excellent Excel skills with the ability to read data to inform decisions
  • Have a warm and friendly approach, capable of prioritising workload and adapting to change
