Hunter Adams as part of our recruitment service are supporting a long-standing organisation within the third sector with appointing a part-time HR Manager to provide comprehensive and professional HR support in a true generalist capacity.

Location : Edinburgh

Contract : Part time - Permanent

Salary : Excellent with benefits

Our client is seeking to appoint an HR Manager to provide an extensive HR service within this reputable Edinburgh-based charity. In this key role you will deliver valuable support and advice embracing the organisation’s culture and embedding this within the HR function. This is a fantastic opportunity for a self-motivated individual to lead and develop the small HR department. You will be accessible in your leadership approach with the gravitas to provide HR support and reporting to all levels within the organisation.

Some of your key accountabilities will include:

• Implementing the People Plan for a three-year period
• Aligning HR strategy with the organisation’s business plans
• Developing and implementing policies, programmes and procedures to enhance the business
• Managing the annual HR budget
• Regularly preparing Board and Management Reports
• Providing information, support and proposals to the Remuneration Committee as required
• Supporting with monthly processing of Payroll
• Dealing with employee relations cases
• Overseeing and participating in recruitment activities
• Building strong relationship with the organisation’s Employment Law advisers
• Ensuring the HR function is GDPR compliant
• Liaising with the Finance Manager on pensions
• Actively participating in all events when required

To be considered for this role you will have a high level of HR expertise including HR management. You will thrive in a fast-paced environment with the proven ability to work successfully, both operationally and strategically. You will be a team player, flexible in approach and willing to support with all requirements of the organisation.
