Do you want to lead HR for Crown Estate Scotland?

Hunter Adams as part of our sourcing service, are partnering with Crown Estate Scotland to appoint an experienced HR Manager.

Crown Estate Scotland manages assets on behalf of Scottish Ministers, including agricultural and forestry land, most of the seabed, just under half of the foreshore and some commercial property. We work with communities, tenants and partners to create prosperity for Scotland and its communities. We return all revenue profit to Scottish Government.

Crown Estate Scotland is a public corporation which manages the assets on an interim basis until new legislation sets out permanent arrangements. It is led by a board and managed by a staff team of approximately 37 FTEs. Their work is guided at all times by their core values of excellence, commercialism, collaboration and integrity.

Reporting to the Head of Corporate Operations, you will work closely with the Board, CEO, employees and union representatives to provide a professional HR generalist service to support the delivery of the three-year corporate plan.

We are looking for a highly capable and autonomous HR Manager to undertake this standalone role to be the key link for all people matters and the wider organisation. As the HR expert, you’ll be trusted with working in partnership with key leaders and external suppliers across the employee lifecycle covering resourcing, reward, L&D, performance management, employee relations, employment law and more.

As an experienced practitioner, you’ll demonstrate experience of handling HR processes and managing trade union relationships. You will also have substantial HR operations experience and ideally have some public sector experience. Experience of managing change would be advantageous.

Considerable experience of partnering with senior stakeholders and influencing as necessary would be of significant interest, as would a solid track record in highlighting risks and issues and developing and implementing people strategies.
