Hunter Adams as part of our sourcing service are supporting a leading organisation within the public sector with appointing a HR Advisor on a fixed term contract basis to provide professional HR support.

Location : Edinburgh

Contract : Fixed Term - 6 months

Our client is seeking to appoint a HR Advisor to be responsible for providing an extensive HR service to all levels of staff within this reputable Edinburgh based organisation. In this key role you will deliver valuable support and advice within the organisation in all operational HR processes. Reporting to the Senior HR Advisor and deputising as required you will be involved in the development of HR policies and projects for use companywide. This is a fantastic opportunity for a self-motivated individual to become an integral part of the HR department in this leading organisation.

Some of your key accountabilities will include:

• Supporting and advising senior staff members on individual casework including absence management, grievance and disciplinary issues ensuring all cases are managed professionally and in line with current legislation
• Regularly grading new job roles in accordance with organisational processes along with regrading roles following any restructuring
• Ensuring all staff are fully briefed and up to date on current legislation and company policy
• Liaising with the Senior HR Advisor to plan project and development work
• Providing guidance and support to managers and staff on business and rewards processes
• Representing the organisation in the development of company wide HR policies and procedures

To be considered for this role you will have a degree level professional qualification or equivalent experience. You will have a proven HR track record with thorough knowledge of UK employment law and the ability to deal with both routine and complex staff issues. Experience of using SharePoint would be preferable. It would be a distinct advantage if you have experience working within a large, complex organisation with the ability to contribute to strategic business management issues.
