Are you ready for an interim assignment?

Hunter Adams are supporting our manufacturing client recruit some interim support to cover a permanent vacancy.

We have an excellent interim opportunity for an experienced HR Officer to support the HR Manager at our client’s site in Bolton. You’ll provide support and advice to management on the full spectrum of operational HR matters in a unionised production environment and support the HR Manager.

Key Responsibilities

  • Acting as the first point of contact for managers and employees, providing appropriate advice on all people related issues
  • Providing procedural advice on disciplinary, grievance and investigation processes ensuring employment law and policy are adhered to
  • Responsible for the recruitment, selection and onboarding of future employees
  • Lead the absence management procedures conducting Return to Work Interviews and Absence Reviews
  • Lead Occupational Health processes, ensuring regular reviews for all staff as well as management referrals are scheduled and OH recommendations are implemented.
  • Ensuring that HR and personal data is correctly filed and stored.
  • Support the training and development of staff on site.
  • Creation and updating of Policies and Procedures as part of our policy review procedures.
  • Maintain our close relationship with our union representatives, liaising with them on necessary matters.

 

The perfect candidate will have:

  • Experience at HR Officer/Assistant level, in a manufacturing environment
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills in order to explain HR processes
  • Be thorough and demonstrate confidence in implementation of HR requirements
  • Strong people persuasion, empathy and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to understand and analysis complex information and present it simply and accurately
  • Attention to detail and highly organised, with ability to progress several activities concurrently
  • Excellent IT skills including Excel and reporting
  • Flexible approach to work, as additional hours and meeting night shift will be required
