Are you a strategic HR professional with a commercial focus?

Hunter Adams as part of our recruitment service are supporting a leading organisation within the education sector with appointing an Assistant HR Manager to be responsible for a number of HR functions in a strong HR Generalist capacity.

In this varied role you will provide advice and support to the Senior Management Team on all HR matters in line with the organisations Business Plan. Supporting the Head of HR, you will manage the HR function to ensure the organisation follows best practice and operates efficiently, developing and implementing HR policies and procedures. Some key aspects of the role are as follows:

Supporting the Head of HR in maintaining HR management systems using the HRMS and other systems as required

Providing an initial point of contact for all HRMS queries and support training for all colleagues

Preparing and presenting reports to the Head of HR and Senior Management team including absences, staff turnover, training, appraisals and budget information

Managing, leading and / or participating in projects identified by the Head of HR

Overseeing the administration of the employee life cycle within the HR department

Identifying delegates for continuous professional development, succession planning and appraisals including sourcing suitable training courses/providers

Managing complex employee relations casework including disciplinaries, grievances, absence and well-being whilst maintaining best practice and a supportive aspect for all cases

Liaising with finance to help ensure accurate payroll and invoicing processes

Coaching and developing managers to increase their effectiveness in managing team performance, identifying talent, engaging with their teams and managing change

Acting as the representative of the HR Department in times of absence for the Head of HR

Manage the HR team on a day-to-day operational level

To be considered for this role you will be a CIPD qualified HR professional with extensive knowledge of employment law and experience of HR Systems.
